Crawler Decks Arrival Date

Hello there.

Zac here. Not a lot of an update currently, but progress! The crawler decks got held up in port, but are now on the train from New York to Atlanta, and from there on a truck to our shipping location. 

Brian expects them to arrive somewhere around the middle to end of next week, then we can finally start shipping! All the other items are of course on-location and ready to ship alongside the decks. 

We'll pop back in to let you know when we're wrapping up this final stage of fulfillment.

Crawler Deck Shipping Update!

Hello there.

Zac here. Just a quick update letting you know that we heard from the manufacturer that our Crawler Decks should be arriving in the second half of March! If that timeline holds, that means we should be finishing up fulfillment in late March/early April, which is still about a month or so earlier than estimated!

Everyone who didn't order the Crawler Deck should have their items by now. If not, please reach out to our publisher Jeff Jones ([email protected]), and he'll get you sorted.

Speaking of Jeff, if you also backed his Dark Devilry Kickstarter, he put out an update last week that both those books are headed to the printer in March and should be fulfilling by April!

Since this project is simply in the waiting game, we've been gearing up for The Winds of Hell, a Pirate Borg campaign that's coming along really, really well. We'll be launching that one in March, just about the time these last few items are starting to ship out. 

After that, I'm not sure. Maybe some more Shadowdark?

Deck of Crawlers!

Hey all, 

Zac here. Have a look at this beauty! This is the final proof for the Deck of Crawlers, and it turned out great. We've greenlit the full run and fingers crossed they deliver towards the end of the year or so. 

You'll notice a few features that weren't in the original design!

• Bandolier of Pencils > We had the space, so why not make it an all-in-one kit.
• Spot Gloss on Box > To match Devoured and other Shadowdark projects.
• Top Loader > This new design means the lid fits really snugly, ensuring your stuff isn't going to pop out mid-transit to the evening's game. 

We're still way ahead of schedule on this, but it's exciting to see it wrapping up and getting nearer the finish line. Thanks to Brian Colin of Creature Curation for being an excellent partner on this project and helping it move along.

Expect another update in January.

Shipping Has Started! (see fine print)

Hello there, 

Zac here to say we've started shipping! About 250 orders have been kicked out, including these groups:

• Print-on-Demand Backers
• Physical Hardcover Backers who didn't order the Crawler Deck

Your order is coming from RPG  Ramblings / Jeff Jones.

If you ordered the Crawler Deck, the good news there is that the order has been placed with the manufacturer! We're well ahead of schedule, but it will still be a couple more months on that. 

On the VTT front, I'm excited to say we're almost done! I need to go back through and do a review, but all the text is in, the maps are put together with walls and lighting, and we've got a few hundred tokens dropped in. Fingers crossed, I'm hoping to get all that done by the end of the month. 

In the meantime, Dark Devilry is still going strong! 

It's our most ambitious and largest Shadowdark project to date, and we'd love to have you be a part of it.

There was an issue with the custom dice sets being available to everyone from the start, so we've extended the price discount to run the entire length of the campaign.

Shipping Timelines & New Project Launch Date

Zac here. Just a couple of quick updates for you today. Like I noted last week, we've charged cards over on Backerkit, and we're prepping to ship certain people certain goods. 

This project is a bit wonky with shipping, so it might be good to break down who's getting what and when. 

October (now)

These items will ship from our publisher Jeff Jones (RPG Ramblings), unless you purchased Print-on-Demand items, which ship directly from the printer.

• Shipping for anyone who ordered a hardcover book but didn't order the Crawler Deck.
• Shipping for anyone who ordered a softcover PoD book.
• If you purchased add-ons, they should not affect your shipping dates, unless they were a Crawler Deck.

December (ish)

These items will likely ship from the Crawler Deck publisher Brian Colin (Creature Curation).

• Shipping for all orders that include the Crawler Deck.
• Wave 2 shipping on all other others for folks who didn't get their survey completed in time for Wave 1.

Please note that we might be off on our estimate for the Crawler Deck shipments. Originally we said May 2026, and I'm sure we're going to beat that by a fair amount, but since these are made overseas, there's always a chance for delays.

New Project Launching!

Some of the Devoured team have been working with our publisher on his own Shadowdark project: Dark Devilry. Jeff's looking to launch on October 13th (next week), and he gave me the okay to share a few previews with you, including the details on the Early-Bird incentives (see below).

•  6 Archdevils, 6 Demon Lords, 6 Ur-Daemons. Each contains a write-up, stat block, artifacts, minions, hoard, stronghold, & loads of additional tables.
• 3 Infernal Classes that have their own way of contending against daemonkind. The Bloodguard are cursed soldiers and tarnished sellswords that powers up the more blood they draw from their enemies. The Diabolist are covenant-bound scholars and heretical mystics; spellcasters who channel the power of the Inferno. Finally, the Sin Eater are twilight mourners who consume the burdens of others to shield them from ruin.
• 4 Ancestries of Sin & Vice: the Cambion and the Corrupted, the Damned, and the Hagspawn.
• 30 Wretched Spells associated with either demons or devils.
• Expanded Rules for possessions, infernal contracts, and crawling through the greater Inferno.
• Literally Hundreds of Tables for encounters, mutations, hoards, followers, temptations, schemes, demands, and more!
• Level-O Gauntlet where a missing sword and a blood red sun threatens a remote village’s sense of safety. 
• 3 Additional Adventures each digging deep into the sulfurous soil of the Inferno. String them together with the Gauntlet for a full campaign!
• Hexcrawls, dungeon crawls, and an urban heist!
• DIS, City of the Damned in all its glory.
• New Treasure Tables flavored for the Inferno and the wider Dark Realms!
